Story time! This is a picture of me and my brother in front of the parliament building in Ottawa. I’d never been inside the parliament building before so my brother insisted that we go in. To go in you have to go through security. No big deal right? Wrong. When it was my turn the security officer took one look at my sweater and demanded that I take it off. Apparently it used offencive language and was not permitted inside. My shirt says (incase you can’t read it) ‘Feminism is the radicale notion that women are people’. Now, I didn’t think that was offensive and apparently neither did the other security officers because the minute I got through security one of them came over and gave me back my sweater saying that she had over reacted and that my sweater was awesome. I felt like that was a story worth telling.
